Refund Policy

The Journal of Empirical Economics and Multidisciplinary Methods (JEEMM) operates with a transparent and fair refund policy, which outlines the circumstances under which authors may be entitled to a refund for any publication-related fees. The policy ensures that all financial transactions associated with the submission and publication process are handled in a professional and ethical manner.

1. Refund Eligibility:

Refunds for publication-related fees may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Withdrawal Before Peer Review: If the author withdraws the manuscript before it enters the peer review process, any fees paid for submission or initial processing will be refunded in full.

  • Rejection Before Peer Review: If the manuscript is rejected during the initial screening or before peer review, any submission fees paid will be refunded in full.

  • Technical or Editorial Errors: If an article is published due to an editorial or technical error on the part of the journal (e.g., an incorrect version of the manuscript is published or there is a significant mistake in the processing), the author may be entitled to a full refund of any publication fees paid.

2. Non-Refundable Fees:

JEEMM does not offer refunds in the following cases:

  • Rejection After Peer Review: If the manuscript is rejected after undergoing peer review, the author will not be entitled to a refund of submission or processing fees, as the review process has already been initiated.

  • Voluntary Withdrawal After Peer Review: If the manuscript is withdrawn after it has entered the peer review process or after receiving reviewer feedback, no refund will be provided, as the journal has incurred costs associated with the review process.

  • Post-Acceptance Withdrawal: If the manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance for publication, no refund will be provided, as the manuscript has already passed through editorial and technical processing.

  • Revised Submission Fees: If an author submits a revised version of their manuscript after peer review, and the manuscript is subsequently rejected or withdrawn, no refund will be provided for fees related to the revised submission.

3. Refund Request Process:

  • Authors requesting a refund must submit a formal refund request to the editorial office by email, detailing the reason for the request.

  • Requests for refunds should be made within 30 days of the initial payment or within 30 days of the manuscript’s status change (e.g., rejection or withdrawal) to be considered for refund.

  • The editorial office will review the request and determine eligibility based on the specific circumstances outlined in this policy.

  • If the refund is approved, the author will receive a notification, and the refund will be processed via the same payment method used for the transaction. Refunds will typically be processed within 15 business days.

4. Partial Refunds:

In cases where only certain parts of the submission process have been completed (such as initial screening or partial peer review), the journal may offer a partial refund. This decision will be made at the discretion of the editorial team based on the stage at which the manuscript is withdrawn or rejected.

5. Non-Refundable Administrative Fees:

In cases where administrative fees are assessed (such as for indexing services, DOI assignment, or similar services), these fees are generally non-refundable once the service has been initiated, even if the manuscript is withdrawn or rejected.

6. Refund Processing and Timelines:

  • Payment Method: Refunds will be issued via the same method used for payment (e.g., credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal). Authors will be asked to provide details of the original payment for verification purposes.

  • Processing Time: Refunds will typically be processed within 15 business days of approval. Authors will be notified of the status of their refund request via email.

7. Appeals:

  • If an author is dissatisfied with the decision regarding a refund request, they may appeal by providing additional supporting information or clarification. The editorial team will review the appeal and provide a final decision.
